THE BEAUTY OF LORD BUDDHA'S APPEARANCE -- The Lord the Color of Gold

737. Suvarna-varnah Golden Coloured in Sree Narayana Mundaka Upanishad declares:

When the Seer sees Him of Golden- hue.
Upon witnessing the Self-Effulgent (Golden) Being,
the seers realization is completely transforming,
and then that wise one,
shaking off all deeds of merits and demerits,
becomes stainless,
and attains the supreme State of Equipoise.

738. Hemaangah One who has limbs of Gold.
The description of the Lord functioning through
the orb of the Sun is well-known:
Hiranmaya-of pure-golden- form.

739. Varaangah With beautiful limbs.
Also, Vara can take the meaning ;lovable, therefore,
Sree Narayana is described here as One whose form (limbs) is supremely lovable& to the yogi-of-devotion.

TRULY LORD BUDDHA IS THE FULFILLMENT OF HINDUISM!

The Sakyans then showed
to the seer named Asita
their son, the prince,
like gold aglow,
burnished by a most skillful smith
in the mouth of the furnace,
blazing with glory, flawless in color.
On seeing the prince blazing like flame,
pure like the bull of the stars
going across the sky
the burning sun,
released from the clouds of autumn
he was exultant, filled with abundant rapture. (from the Pali Nalaka Sutta: To Nalaka SN 3.11)

King Bimbisara, standing in his palace, saw him,
and on seeing him, consummate in marks,
said: "Look at this one, sirs.
How handsome, stately, pure!
How consummate his demeanor!
Mindful, his eyes downcast,
looking only a plow-length before him,
as one who's not from a lowly lineage:

The Brahmin Sonadanda described him as
"handsome, good-looking, and pleasing to the eye,
with a most beautiful complexion.
He has a godlike form and countenance,
he is by no means unattractive."(D,I:115).

"It is wonderful, truly marvellous,
how serene is the good Gotama's appearance,
how clear and radiant his complexion,
just as the golden jujube in autumn is clear and radiant, just as a palm-tree fruit just loosened from the stalk is clear and radiant,
just as an adornment of red gold wrought in a crucible by a skilled goldsmith,
deftly beaten and laid on a yellow-cloth shines, blazes and glitters, even so,
the good Gotama's senses are calmed,
his complexion is clear and radiant." (A,I:181)
